Hear3D is founded by top experts in spatial audio, acoustics, DSP, embedded systems, and product development, focused on combining advanced spatial rendering with product-grade integration for consumer devices. Its work spans spatial audio rendering, DSP-based audio processing, and implementation pathways designed for integration across contemporary hardware platforms.

Hear3D’s technology includes real-time, head-tracked 3D audio rendering built on current-generation mobile processors and digital signal processing, designed for use in headphones, TWS earphones, phones, laptops, soundbars, and AR/VR devices. It is engineered to maintain stable spatial cues under motion, preserve audio–visual alignment, and deliver immersive listening characteristics beyond conventional stereo output.

Jason Riggs
Founder & Advisor
Served as Vice President of Intelligent Audio at Harman until 2024, with 25 years of experience bringing new technology from concept to production. Experience spans intellectual property and product development across speakers, headphones, gaming, teleconferencing, spatial audio, and AR/VR.
Alfredo Fernandez Franco
Founder & CTO
Former Senior Director at Harman with experience across software, embedded systems, audio, and acoustics. Currently focused on AI-driven digital signal processors and HRTF synthesis. He holds a B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, an M.S. in Digital Signal Processing from the Technical University of Denmark, and an M.S. in Acoustics from Aalborg University.
Dr. Sean Olive
Founder & Chief Scientist
Recognized authority in audio science and a former President of the Audio Engineering Society. Concluded 32 years of service at Harman as Senior Fellow having led research in the perception and measurement of loudspeakers, automotive audio, room acoustics and headphones including the development of the Harman Target Curve. He holds a B. Music from the University of Toronto and Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Sound Recording from McGill University.
Shimon Shmueli
Founder & CPO
Product design and development expert. Following executive and consulting roles at IBM and other mid- and small-sized companies, he transitioned to academic research and teaching, serving until recently as a full professor of industrial design engineering at ShanghaiTech University. His product development expertise is grounded in a multidisciplinary education, supported by advanced degrees in electrical engineering, business management, and industrial design.
José Arjol Acebal
Founder & CEO
Engineer and entrepreneur with a background in hardware design, acoustics, spatial audio, and digital signal processing. Served as a Distinguished Engineer at Harman until 2024. He holds a B.S. in Physics from Gettysburg College and studied Electrical Engineering at Portland State University.
Todd Welti
Founder & Principal Scientist
Following his tenure at Harman as a Distinguished Engineer through 2025 and worked with Dr. Sean Olive on the development of the Harman Target Curve, he continues to specialize in areas include subjective evaluation of speakers and headphones, room acoustics, subwoofer/room interaction, binaural audio, transducer array design, and psychoacoustics. He holds an M.S. in Acoustics from Aalborg University.
